please share your personal experience w/ Dr Bruce from Dayton Bariatric Center

Hi, all! I'm very new to this forum, but am loving it already!!! I've just recently decided to have WLS, and I'd like to hear from people who've had Dr Bruce perform their surgery. I'm very nervous about having surgery because I've never been in the hospital before--well, other than when I was born 35 years ago! I'm looking for the good (and bad) experiences that people have had with Dr Bruce. Thank you for your help and for your honesty!

I have been a patient of Dr. Clarey's and Dr. Bruce for close to 4 years now.  I got a lapband in June of 2007 (they both did my surgery) and I had good results.  In August 2010, my lapband had to be emergency removed, Dr. Clarey took it out and in November 2010, I had RNY revision, Dr. Clarey and Dr. Bruce both again.  They both seem to be very good doctors and I don't have any complaints other than sometimes as a bandster it was hard to get in for fills/unfills.  Best wishes to you.

I tried to get in to see Dr. Bruce/Dr. Clarey, as recommended by my personal physician.
They, unfortunately are not covered by my insurance.  I do know, that the office staff were
very helpful in scheduling and dealing with my insurance.  I am now working with Dr. Peter Lalor in Bowling Green.  I am very happy with him and his staff.  I am from Wapakoneta, OH>
