new to columbus kinda - dr. question

okay so I moved here back in May but I FINALLY got my insurance up and running. awesome.  I need to get on with a program.  Gimme some ideas?  Who are the big clinics in these parts?

Dr Myers of Fresh Start Bariatrics was my surgeon. His hospital is Riverside Methodist and is a bariatric center of excellence. He has Nuts, a Psych, and physician on staff so all of your pre-op testing can be done in one day. They have a monthly support group, and you get a 3 month membership to a top rehab facility along with 10 personal training sessions.

well, I'm post-op.  I will have to give them a call and see if they will take me on.... so if they don't or won't... any other doctor ideas?

Ask them for a referral. A good place to meet others will be at the Walk From Obesity on October 30. You are welcome to join my team Jody's Fresh Starters, or walk on your own.
You can meet lots of people there and find out about the docs in the area.

The Ohio State University has a bariatrics program - Dr. Needleman and Mikami... so does Mt. Carmel Hospital on the east side of town. 

You have options!!!  All excellent...just depends on which side of town you live...

 The Barix Clinic in Groveport on Hamilton Road is where I had mine done.  The staff there at the time of my surgery was THE BEST... It's changed quite a bit... Didn't care for the Dr. when I went to have my yearly check-up in 2009... Or the way "corp." treated the staff that took care of me when I was there.  Good luck and don't hesitate to contact me... It's always nice to make new friends!!
