I just wish I could have had my surgery before this all happened, but I agree that safety should be first and foremost .  I will be seeing the dietician at Dr. Whites office next week, I got an email from Amy stating that Dr. Lane may be going to Toledo Hospital,  if so, I guess I will see him there. I started my process in May of 2009 and I have everything completed besides my last visit to the dietician. wish me luch and pray that God's will be done,  Que

Que,

I wish you the best of luck. I have not ever regretted doing this. It is not always easy, but it has been so worth it. I know you will do well.

I was scheduled for surgery with Dr Lane on March 15.  Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed when he up and left so suddenly.  I have switched over to Dr White, and will hopefully have my new surgery date soon.

If it is true that Amy and Dr Lane will be at Toledo Hospital, I sure as hell hope I dont run into them, cuz I might not be able to control my tongue!

I too started with him and then he departed Wood County Hospital and had to contend with his unresponsive office. I decided to switch to Dr. Lalor at Wood County Hospital and experienced excellent results. I would recommend that you check out Dr. Lalor as well.

Dr. Lane seems to have a pattern of vanishing from hospitals.  He also left Wood County Hospital back in the spring of 2008 during my time with him.  I came in to see the dietician and there were boxes everywhere, he and his staff were gone.  The Dietician (working for the hospital) and a maintenance man were the only ones there.  I could feel that this wasn't a move Dr. Lane chose, someon chose it for him.  Thankfully, I decided to stay and go with Dr. Peter Lalor, who the hospital hired from Maine.  When I had my testing done at Wood County, I would ask every technician I came in contact with which Dr. they would choose and they said Dr. Lalor performs many tests before the surgery that Dr. Lane did not.  He wants to know his patient from the beginning not when their being wheeled into surgery (like I have heard with Dr. Lane) and is much more careful after the surgery.  Two women that I work with had their surgeries before me with Dr. Lane and have had nothing but problems.  He has dropped the ball with their care so many times, it's surprising he still has his license.  My co-workers could not find him and finally he saw one of them AT HIS HOME (after the Wood County Hospital incident) The whole situation at Wood County and now at MUO is too fishy....sounds like both hospitals let him go, not the other way around.   Most reliable, trustworthy physicians who are changing offices don't up and leave without notice, drop their patient caseload, and do not contact patients of the upcoming move.  Hopefully, Toledo Hospital will dig a little deeper into his situations and not make the mistake of hiring him like Wood County and MUO did.
