Hey everyone, I am new to the boards and am scheduled for surgery next week with Dr. Rita Anderson.  I was wondering what your thoughts on her are and if you had any complications from your surgery.  i believe I have made the right decision, but looking for others who have had their surgery with her.  Please feel free to check out my first blog and add me as a friend.  Wish I would have found this board earlier, lol!

Thanks Robin!  It is very nice to meet you.  I appreciate the feedback, it makes me feel better.  I'm still in the kinda scared, wondering about the unknown phase right now.  5 more days to go.  Looks like we are from the same neck of the woods too.  Pretty cool.

I shot you an email with my contact info... ask away...   You are in great hands!

I went to Rita's seminar again this week and I hold back tears everytime I listen to her.
She goes over everything that can possibily happen in surgery, and she's up front about anything that can happen.  I lucked out and had ZERO issues with my surgery.  I was totally compliant with my after care in and out of the hospital and things turned out great.  I lucked out not to have any infection issues (it's a roll of the dice)

Good Luck!!

I can tell you that you chose the right doctor. I am sure you are on the losing side by now. Hope you are feeling well. I have known Rita for about 7 years now. I can tell you that what you see is what you get. There is nothing fake or phony about her. She genuinely cares about you. It is though she has been in your shoes and she understands how you think and feel. It makes a big difference to know that you are not just a patient, but a person. I wish you the best. Deb
