I keep getting major time yeast infections under my tummy that spreads down in my crotchie area...My doctor keeps giving me pills to take, medicated powder and I barely get rid of it and its back...He told me that he would support me in finding a surgeon and getting this tummy work done...I am on molina insurance...Does anyone know of any surgeons in the Dayton and surrounding areas that take this insurance? I realize that they would have to submit a form to get prior authorization and that most times its turned down...but, its worth a try...So, if anyone knows of a surgeon that takes this insurance, please let me know...Thanks

From what I have researched and called over 25 PS docs in the Dayton area NONE of them will take any insurance for TT no matter what. My hubby's insurance will pay if med ness. but none of the docs will ACCEPT that for payment.
Your best bet is to call your insurance and find out WHAT DOCS are in your network and then CALL the docs and see what they say. Maybe there are some newer ones that will take insurance as payment.
Good Luck,
Robin

My experience was the same as Robin's... even though there are a LOT of plastic surgeons in the Dayton area who are under Aetna, and even though I knew I would have no trouble getting the panniculectomy approved, I could not find ANYONE who was willing to submit it to insurance.  They all said it was because it wasn;t considered medically necessary (even if Aetna agreed that it was)... and finally the receptionist at one of the surgeon's offices admitted that the problem was that the reimbursement rates were so low that they did not want to be bothered (and knew that many people would find some way to pay for it themselves).

I finally found a surgeon who had recently opened his practice in the area, and he did it for me with the insurance (but would not do ANY associated work even if paid for the additional work)... but he now apparently has joined the rest of the surgeons in not accepting the insurance for it.  I don't know how they can be part of the insuracne panel and refuse to accept payment for a covered service at the agreed-upon rate, but somehow they are getting away with it.  I hope you can find someone.  The only person I know who is close to Dayton and USED to accept insurance is Dr Butterfield in northern Cincy.
