Did anyone have surgery at Riverside in Columbus? (Dr. Myers)

I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me how long the process takes at Riverside before you can have surgery.  My insurance doesn't require the diet history and I have already completed the psych evaluation.  Do they have any requirements of their own before they schedule your surgery?  I'm trying to compare the wait time for there to Barix in Michigan.  Thanks

Can't speak for Dr Meyers but I'm scheduled to have RNY at Barix in Michigan on 11-23. They were more than accomadating and quick to schedule as soon as my insurance said go. Hope this helps some!

Thanks Steve.  When did you get approved?  After you got approved, how long did it take to get a date?  I have a bowling tournament at the end of December and was really hoping to have it soon enough to be healed by then.

I was actually approved in late July. However, due to me student teaching this fall I had to schedule for the monday before thanksgiving. I actually just scheduled about a month ago. I could have been scheduled about 5 weeks out at that time. If you are wanting in ASAP I would call them very soon.

Start to surgery was February - July but I was pushing.  It would have probably been August if I hadn't pushed so much.
