Towpath Trail Bike Ride on Saturday September 26

Do you like to bicycle? Have you always wanted to explore the Towpath Trail? Would you like to enjoy a nice autumn Saturday riding with fellow WLS patients, friends and family?

Several members of the Summa LIFE Support Group enjoy bicycling the Towpath Trail and the rail trails across Ohio. These trails are an easier ride than you might expect. They are all relatively flat and paved. The Towpath Trail is paved in a very fine limestone that is easy to ride on. The trail is mostly shaded and a very safe place to bicycle.

We plan on meeting at 10:00 a.m. at Ernie's Bike Shop at 135 Lake Ave NW in Massillon (adjacent to the Towpath Trail right off of Rt. 21). Rentals at Ernie's is very reasonable at $5 an hour or $20 for the day. We plan on biking north about 8 miles to Canal Fulton for lunch and a break before returning to Massillon.

You can join us for the whole ride or a partial ride. Cycling is great exercise and the Towpath is a wondrous place to explore. We always cycle at an enjoyable pace and take plenty of stops for drinks and photos.
