Hi, I am 4 months out from lap rny.  I have lost 75 lbs and feel pretty good.  I have been at the same weight for the last 3 weeks.  Is this normal to have hit a plateau so early in weight loss?  Any suggestions on how to get past this.  I have increased my exercising, and I am following the rules w/ eating.  Thanks.

Totally normal... we all go through it

might want to up your calories, protein, exercise... or a little of all (Your body is in starvation mode)

If this is your first significant stall/plateau, consider yourself lucky!  Yes, it's normal (and you actually apparently missed the one that usually happens at 3-4 weeks out)...

As Tony said, increasing your protein is your best bet... BUT it is likely that even that will not help... your body just nbeeds time to make some adjustments and the weight loss will resume when that has happened.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

I was very sick after surgery where nothing was staying down, but now I am over it.  Now I am better I am hungry all the time.  I have been trying to eat 5 small protien meals a day, and get all my water in.  Im glad a stall is normal, cause w/ this increase in hunger, Im afraid I wont lose any, or even gain.  I just have failed at weight loss so often, I dont want this to be the same.
