A few months ago I received an email from Slimgirl1955 asking if I would be interested in starting up a support group in Medina. I told her I would but at the time was in florida and that I'd be back at the end of May. I have emailed her several times and have not received a reply. Doesn't someone need to be certified as a OH group leader to start a support group? I'd be very interested in going to a local group.

I don't know about being certified but I wish there was a group in Medina. I don't want to drive to Universtity hospital all the time, nor go to Akron. If there is something I can do let me know. Maybe we can get the ball rolling somehow.

Nice to meet you as well. I'll be working out of state for 3 months starting in September and then will be in FL for the winter, so I'm not sure how much help I can be in starting something up here. But please keep me posted.

LOL...it sounds a lot busier than it actually is...
I think I'd be doing a bit better if there was a convenient group around here. I'm 3 years out, was 20# from goal, lost my job and boom!! Now I need to drop 50# ! It gets so exasperating at times. I did finally sign up at Curves to work out, something I never really did post op like I should have. I didn't know anything about the "honeymoon period" until I started reading the posts on OH. I have learned a great deal the past 8 months or so. I don't even remember signing up on OH back in 2003, but it says I did...

I still am interested in starting a support group. Are you still in Florida? Lucky
It is freezing up here, but I have heard Florida is cold now too.
