Buckeye insurance in ohio

Has anyone had to go through buckeye insurance? Did it take long or was there any hassle getting approved? I did all pretest and their diet and exercise program that was required.

I have Buckeye and had no problems whatsoever getting approved. It only took about a week to get approved. call them and make sure they rec'd your info and if they say they didnt, call the dr and have them refax it ...

Do you remember who did your Psych eval for WLS? I currently have buckeye and am having NO luck finding a doctor to do it. It is the only thing I have left to do before surgery.

I have Buckeye, and I just found out I was approved! Funny enough they had a caseworker call me to introduce herself and let me know she was going to be following up on me after my surgery. The funny part was I haven't even heard the news from my patient advocate at SVCH yet!
Buckeye was quick to approve me as well. I think my advocate just submitted my stuff last week! The only problem is they required A LOT before submitting. I had already done a 6 month weight loss program, sleep-study, and a psych eval for Anthem when it was offered here, but when they stopped offering it in my area, I had to change to Buckeye. Buckeye required a 5 year weight history, a lot of blood work-up, including a drug and alcohol test, and for me to get pulminary and cardiac clearance. But they seemed to approve me quickly, and I know you typically need to get the pulminary and cardiac clearances before your surgery anyway.

They submitted mine last Friday (I had to appeal because they forgot to put something in there) and the dr called monday I was approved! YEE HAW so keep me posted on your journey and good luck.
