Just wanted to say a quick hello to all you out there. I am starting the process for the surgery via Kasier. I have actually been through the entire process at CCF but due to an insurance carrier change at the time, I did not have the surgery. But I am optimistic that everything will go smoothly this time and be well on my way to a healthier me!

Welcome.  Where are you, and what type of WLS are you planning to have?

I am in Mentor (east of Cleveland.) and I am planning on having the Lap-Band procedure. so far I have meet with my PCP and she when ahead and sent the referral (yay!), I had my first "nutrition class" and have my assessments scheduled with the dietitian & surgeons nurse.

So I'm thinking that hopefully I will have the procedure in December or January. Probably January because you know surgeons....they've got to go on vacation for the entire month of December. Ha-ha!
