Gallstones...

... need I say more...?  Apparently I had them even BEFORE my RNY -- they were on the ultrasound I had during all my pre-op testing, but for some reason Dr Rita never mentioned it !  WTH? -- but I am just now having trouble with pain.  Not sure if the pain is the gallbladdrer itself or the pancreas acting up because of the gallstones... and Dr Rita is out of town until the 8th (and in surgery all day that day), so I can;t even get any feedback/info on it.

I guess it doesn't really matter, though, because I think I am just going to have to continue to grin and bear it as long as possible since I don't think my poor body can HANDLE another surgery right now (the wound from the TT necrosis is not even completely healed yet)... not to mention that lap surgery would probably split the TT incision open again and an open surgery would ruin the TT I just paid so much money for (and have suffered so much with 4+ months of wound packing).  Good thing the pain is intermittent.

Heavy sigh...

I want a cookie.

Awwww....  I'm so sorry.   That's my big fear... I'm hoping if my GB goes bad it does so before november so I can have it taken out THIS year instead of another 3k NEXT year.

Shee**** would have been nice to have it removed one of the times they were in there, eh?
In the meantime, avoid all fat and caffeine.  They both triggered attacks on my hubby every time before he had his removed on his birthday.

Hi Lora,
i just wanted to send my sympathy to you. I had mine removed in April. I was having pain and my gall bladder was full of stones. I feel much better now but it was a rough surgery I had a really painful time afterwards even worse than my wls. I hope yours is not acting up all the time it will get worse but maybe with time not as rapidly as mine did.
Take care
Renee

Thanks.  I see Dr Rita on Tuesday.  If this week is any indication, it is getting worse rapidly. Sigh...

Glad you're finally feeling better.
