Columbus area - need help

I was in Illinois over the weekend and my knee buckled. ER doc thinks it is my miniscus but says I need an MRI.
I weigh around 550 and I cant find any place in the central ohio area that has a machine that can acomodate me.
Any recommendations?

Bill, I could be wrong but I think that Mt. Carmel East has an OPEN MRI machine.

It wouldn't hurt to contact them.

Given that Mt. Carmel West is where the bariatric surgery is performed, I'd try calling that location instead of Mt. Carmel East also because they do alot of RNY surgeries at Mt. Carmel West and they have MRI there just don't know if its an open MRI or not. I had one a few years back where they stuffed me in a Closed MRI when I was 350 lbs and it was so uncomfortable and claustrophobic that I had an Open MRI over near OSU when I still was 300 lbs. I think that place was called Star Imaging. Let me see what I can find on a link.

P.S. I had my WLS at Mt. Carmel West and they take very good care of you and are very compassionate in treating obese patients.

There are 2 locations pretty close to each other so be sure you know which an appt is at.
They treated me very well here.
