Dr. Schauer's colleague, Dr. Brethauer, did a presentation on 2/21/2009 at the Minimally Invasive Surgery Symposium.  It was 5 year results on 2000 VSG patients.  I have asked to get a copy but have been turned down.  My insurance has denied me twice because they say there are no long term results.  So having this information might get me approved.

Would it be possible for you to ask for a copy of the presentation?  I wondered if they might be more willing to give their patients a copy than a stranger.

I'll see what i can do.  my next appointment is on march 31, for my yearly.  Can you wait that long?

I see my doctor on 3/16 to ask him to do a peer to peer review.  I'll see if I can get him to ask for the data.  If he won't, I'll let you know.  My deadline is mid-April so it should still work.
