Medical Mutual (Supermed Plus Ohio)

Does anyone here carry this insurance that I have Med Mutual. Im looking for a PCP in the Sylvania -metro Toledo area that is WLS friendly I am hoping to have surgery.

I am from Toledo also.  My PCP is Dr. Lori Creadon-Wright, not sure what all insurances they take. I have paramount insurance.  She is definitely WLS friendly, and fairly informed.  Her office is on Central avenue near the Myers.  Hope this helps!!!

We are practically neighbors..  I live on Holland Sylvania also, just north of sylvania avenue.  What surgeon are you going to be going with?  

Hi Caroline, Yes we are very close neighbors, I was looking at Brian Lane (he's at MCO) and Patrick White which I see is your surgeon. But I decided on Brian Lane after I went to his seminar and researching how long he's been doing RNY. My PCP really messed me up I have already had 6mths of supervised WL visits but he wasnt documenting everything like I thought he was, so now I have to start over so thats why I am looking for another PCP that is WLS friendly. I have had one visit with his dietician, I had my EKG done and all my lab work so Im making progress. Talk with you later.                                                     Michele

what is wls friendly?

I have medical mutual supermed plus. While I'm not close to your area, I do want to give you some hope in that I was approved for my DS surgery within 5 working days. They were very easy to work with.
That being said, they are STICKLERS for the preop diet and it being documented accurately. My surgeon, Dr. Teel, has an insurance woman there named Jennifer who told me EXACTLY what to do and how to go about it. If you don't have a surgeon yet, I'd HIGHLY recommend seeing them simple because they were so great with medical mutual. They're in Dayton.

I also have medical mutual supermed plus and am currently waiting on insurance approval for RNY.  Its nice to hear you had a good experience with them.  I'm looking to have surgery in Cleveland, but actually live in Ashland, Ohio.
