nervous about PS on Monday morning
I am having my TT (and he's going to do the brachioplasty revision at the same time) first thing Monday morning (we have to be at the hospital at 6:30am). I'm a little ambivalent about having spent so much money , but mostly I am nervous about having MORE pain and how well I will be able to get up and down with my whole abdomen sore and only one arm to rely on to help out. Mostly, I cannot believe that I am having yet another surgery (this makes three) to take care of what most people are able to have done in a single surgery. Since I was very LUCKY to have found a surgeon in Dayton who would accept insurance for my panniculectomy (and therefore had to play by his "rules"), the first two surgeries HAD to be separate... but I wish I had just found a way to have the abdominoplasty done when he did the mons lift and arms (second surgery).
I know I will enjoy this summer so much more after I have this done (no more trying to find clothes to hide the big ol' muffin top, no more problems with this persistent seroma, no more pooch when I stand up because my abdominal muscles are stretched out so much)... just nervous and ready to get it over with. Not sure whether he's going to do a "reverse" cut (inverted V right below the breasts) or just open me up vertically (between my RNY/hernia and a scar from a previous surgery that runs from my belly button down, all but about 2 inches of my tummy has a vertical scar anyway)... I would think the vertical incision would make it easier to get to everything, but I would probably lose my belly button.
Oh, well... off to clean house so I don;t have to come home to a messy one!

Good luck and have a wonderful result and safe surgery. I had a tummy tuck, lipo and mons lift and it wasn't as painful as I thought it would be. She removed 17 pounds of skin. I feel good and look a lot bettter. I lost 90 pounds and still felt fat. I am 65 so even at my age things went well.
