Insurance Blues

I recently found out that my new insurance does not cover WLS (there is a specific exclusion).  I am so upset I could spit nails.  I was approved with the old insurance but the coverage ended 12/31/08, 3 months into my 6 month of supervised diet program.  Anyone out there in Central Ohio who knows for sure their employer insurance covers WLS?  I have been looking to make a job change anyway, so I want to find some place that will cover the surgery as well.  Drastic Times call for Drastic Measures.   HELP!!!!!

I'm not Central Ohio, but I do know that Staples North American Delivery's insurance does cover the surgery. I'm not sure what you do, but the North American Delivery does deliveries to businesses and they have hubs all over the place. There's one In London Ohio. Go to Staples.com and look under the jobs. They also require a 6 months supervised diet, so don't stop.

Thanks for the response!  I do like driving and have considered getting mu CDL recently.  I think I will look into it.

For Staples, you don't need your CDL. It's box trucks or vans. If you want to look into a CDL job, I can give you a great company to work for, but they are over the road.

My insurance covers it, but with LOTS of critera.  You have to be overwt. by 100 pounds or BMI of 40 or greater AND be medically documented  as morbidly obese for five years AND have participated in a medically supervised weight loss program for a year without sucess...holy cow. 

I'm pulling money out of my 401K and paying for my procedure that way.
