New to he board and am from the Toledo area

Hello everyone,
                             like my subject states im new to the boards and im 8 days post op :) i am a RNY patient and my doc is Dr Lalor from bowling Green just wondering if anyone else is from this area :)

I  did not have my surgery with Dr. Lalor but do go to the WCH support group meetings and have met him.  Dr. Lane did my surgery 1 year ago tomorrow.     How are you doing since your surgery?

Hi Melissa!
                     My initial appointment was with Dr Lane the morning of my appointment to meet with him he cancelled on me... not happy! But due to him leaving the office i was resheduled with Dr Lalor asap. And i couldnt be happier with him.
Grats on ur anniversary!  I am doing very well :) since coming home and eagger to start my journey! I cant wait to be at that point!

I am from Perrysburg, had my surgery done by Dr Lane at UTMC on Dec 8th.  Am doing great and have had great care.  Hope you are doing well.  Keep in touch.

HI!! first let me say congrats on your RNY!! hope you are doing well...just remember that everyday is a new day and it will get easier to do and soon you will have many wow moments to share!!!

i am in willoughby east of cleveland. had my RNY in grand rapids michigan back in oct '06. lost 146 pounds so far. been at a stand still for over a year but weight goes up a few and back down again. i am happy where i am if its going to stay. only regret is i didn't have this surgery years ago!!

good luck and am here to chat most of the time. although i am usually on the over 50 board. lots of nice people here on the state board too!!

Hi Kira,

I had my RNY in Toledo 9 months ago.  I am down about 135#, and feel great!!!   I love coming to this site, I have met so many wonderful people!!!  It is great to be able to talk with other people who are going thur/have gone thru the same thing.  Be sure to check out some of the other forums too!! 

The OH magazine is pretty good as well!!!  Also if you have a chane to ever go to any of the OH events, they are a great way to meet some of the folks from here!!

Glad to hear that you are doing well!!!  Keep up the good work

                     Thats fantastic! about ur weight loss i cant wait to b at the point :) Im very glad i joined this site so many nice ppl and a place to get the answers to ur questions! I was wondering about the OH Mag i might have to order it! Ive been on alot of the forum sections and found lots of answers to questions i wanted to ask but felt they may have been kinda silly to ask!
