I am home finally

I am home form hosp finally, and doing good I will post more once I can sit at the pc for longer periods. Thank you to everyone that sent me well wishes that meant alot. I will post again soon.

Glad you made it home so quickly.   Sip sip sip and walk walk walk and you will be feeling better in no time.      What hospital did you have your surgery at?

Hi Melissa Yeah It is nice to be home, Oh I am sipping ALL DAY and walking alot in the house for now, I must say I have not had one bit of nausea(thank god) I had no drains. Just had the big hernia repair done along with the RYN. I did however have the foley for all 3 days that I was there, They thought maybe with all my chest discomfort and SOB that it might be a PE or MI so natuarlly they had to rule all that out and my doc explained that the big hernia repair was what was making my chest feel so full and hurtful, but assured me in timee would be better. I was suprised however that they released me when I sprang a temp of 103 ealier that day, but they did and I am doing fine I feel. I had my surgery at OSU and I did not care for my nursing aftercare at all they were not very helpful at all, I was glad to be home I felt at least there if I need to go back to a hosp It would be my own. But other than the few bumps I think I am coming along good. I will keep you posted as I go to see my doc in 2 wks ok. Thank You for your support and prayers all were very well needed.

P.S. I hear and feel "grugles" in my throat after eating is that normal?

Glad to hear that you are doing well!  I noticed that you said that you had your surgery at OSU.

I'm just starting my process with OSU.  I went to the informational seminar, but the doctor that done your surgery wasn't there that day, just Needleman was there.

I was wondering how you liked your doctor?

Tracy I did not have any problems with my Doctor, but I will say don't !! stay up there alone, make sure someone is there to help you cause you will not get any from the staff.at least I did not feel as though I did. any questons I will be happy to answer. Good luck to you !!

Glad to hear that you are home.  Sorry your nursing care wasn't up to par...(unfortunately sometimes I think nurses don't like taking care of the obese pts, even if they are there for WLS, which is very sad).  Glad to hear that you are sipping & walking!!!  Keep it up!!

Glad you are doing so well.  I noticed every week anniversary I had   remarkable improvements.  I mean my surgery on Monday the 8th, and then every Monday after I would feel so much better.  I'm normal now.  Take it easy and walk a lot in your house, since it's so cold outside.  You may have a bachache.  I did and it left after two weeks or so.  Keep it up and feel well.
