Hi I was wondering I love custard and I know Jello makes one but it is not SF matterof fact it has 17 gms of sugar in 1/4c so no not one for me, so I was wondering if anyone knew on one that is SF? I figured with all the eggs(protein) it would go down good after my surgery. I have on hand some protein drinks, slimfast low sugar low carb, NSA fruit and broths and creamed soups, and of course cottage cheese so does anyone else have any suggetions on some good foods post-op. I will be on stage 2 for 2 wks till I get my 2 wk check up. Thanks

Fat Free refired beans and cheese are really good also during this time. Ask your doc about chili also. If you chew really well some will allow this.
Good Luck,
Robin

The sf pudding by jello are good.  I have also found a sf mousse at my local specialty grocery store; they have an aisle specificallly for diabetics... I check it out all the time.  Some stuff is really good.... however I recently tried the sugar free caramel sauce, (thought it would be good with an apple), but it was awful!!!  I was also really into "laughing cow cheese"  its soft, but has a really nice flavor, and was nice to put on a few saltines.

Good luck

I am on this diet, hopefully today I will get the go ahead to add more food.  I made egg beaters and then I melted muenster cheese on it.  Really good.  Also cheese sticks, very high in protein and filling.  I have even had soup I made and really chewed everything up and no problems.  Good luck!

Take a peek at my profile for a recipe for SF custard.  I love the stuff!  Also check out the Ricotta Fluff Stuff, another favorite on a new post op tummy.

For the cottage cheese, add a package of SF jello and some cool whip for a Thelma Salad.  The original version of this calls for pineapple, but I don't think your pouch will be ready for that just yet.
