Support Group Toledo area??

Hi All

Would like to find a support group around the Toledo/Perrysburg area.  Hopefully there are people out there who meet in the immediate area.  Please let me know.  Had surgery 12-8-08 and would like to meet anyone who is going through the same things I am.

I went to Dr. Lane's last week and Amy said she will be working on the support group for them soon.   I would ask her to keep you posted.  I  know others have posted about another Toledo Hospital group but I have no info on that.    I attend the one in BG.

Hi Kathy,

I am in Toledo, and I attend a support group for Dr. White's patients.  It takes place on the first Wednesday of every month.  I am not sure if they let other docs pts in... I will get you the contact info and you can call the gal who runs it to ask.

I am new to this site, I heard about it thru the you tube wls entries.  I notice that you also see Dr. White in Toledo, just curious how you liked him.  I have heard many nice things about him, looking for other opinions.  Also any other advise you might have, I go tomorrow for my physc eval and am a little nervous about the whole thing.  After that hopefully I will know if my insurance will cover the surgery.

I am one of Dr. White's patients.  I am 2 years post-op.  Dr. White is wonderful and very dedicated to us.  
You are welcome to pm me with any questions or concerns you have concerning Dr. White, his staff (who are truly wonderful) or the procedure.

You are welcome to go to the support group meeting tomorrow night (wednesday) and meet some other patients.  Pre-ops are welcome too.

Hi Michele,

I too had Dr. White.  He is very compassionate man, soft spoken, and was wonderful thru the whole process.  You definitely get a feeling that he really cares for his patients.  His nurse Cathy, who deals with his bariatric patients is beyond wonderful as well.  Let me know if you have any specific questions, I would be glad to share with you.
