? about Dr. Brian Lane in Toledo

I see that Dr. Lane has a two hour seminar coming up on Dec 3rd. Is attendance at this seminar a requirement before you can get an appointment? Also can I get an informational pack with required paperwork before I have an appointment if I don't do a seminar.

It isn't required to go to a seminar.  You can get an informational pack as well as have your first appt without going to seminar.  Good Luck!

My VSG is scheduled with Dr Lane on Dec 8th.  Can't wait.

I don't think it's required, but it's very informative and you get to meet him, Amy and Darcy.  What a great group of people! 

I just started my 6 month insurance required supervised diet (with Shauna) and hope to have the VSG in June or July 09.

Good luck on your journey.  I have my VSG Monday, Dec.8, 11:00 AM by Dr Lane.  Looking forward to the change for myself.  Dieting these last two weeks.  All should go well.  Keep in touch.  I live in Perrysburg.

I saw Joann actually, Shauna is new.  I was caught between the move from BG and Toledo with Dr Lane.  There were a few a us that were in limbo.  So I only saw the Toledo dieticians twice.  So, yes I had to do the six month thing.  It's been a long journey, but worth it, it goes by quick.  Amy, Dr. Lane and Darcy are great and do anything for you to make you feel comfortable.  Be sure to ask as many questions you can think of.  Write them down when you think of them.

Dr. Lane and his staff is GREAT! I had my VSG on 11-19 and have lost almost 40 pounds already. I did meet Shauna in the hospital but never had to do the pre-op diet. By day 4 after surgery I had stopped all my pain meds and felt like a new person! Now everyday I put something on that falls off my butt I feel even better! Good luck with your surgery on the 8th. I know you will do great!

Wow that's great.  That really pumps me up.  My VSG is Monday, 12/8, 11:00AM.

Good Luck next week with your surgery!   You are in good hands!    I had my surgery with Dr. Lane and Amy in BG almost a year ago and it's been a great ride!
