PS done!
I ended up having to stay overnight in the surgical hospital because it took him more time than he expected to do parts of the surgery (the OR was booked for 3 hours, be he only expetcted it to take 2.5, but it ended up taking almost 4... he had to keep cutting and puling the skin tighter and then cutting again, and they were afraid that I wouldn;t be able to conrol the pain at home so they kept me overnight on a morphine drip.
Everything looks pretty ugly right now, but I'm sure it will start to look better as some of the swelling and bruising subside. My armpits hurt like hell as do the incision lines along the crease of my leg. My one armpit incision has already opened up adn is oozing (and, of course, I cannot reach it myself to change the bandages!). Hopefully, when I see the PS on Friday, he will remove the drain and put some steri-strips or something over the open areas. I'll get to see the arm incisions when I take the ace bandages off tomorrow to have a shower and put on the compression garment.
He told me when he discharged me that I have an actual hernia in the lower belly... NOT just a stretched fascia... he was going to just go ahead and fix it until he saw how big it was. Somewhere WAY down the road, I'll get insurance to deal with that. (I'm still not sure why Dr Rita "assumed" the hernia was only above the waist and that the area below was just stretched....)
Back to the couch and my pain meds...

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
I am planning to go back on Thursday. It's going to be difficult, especially since I am still taking narcotic pain meds as of this morning (lots of swelling especially since he took the drain out of the groin area) and still cannot get my compression garment on by myself (have been using the ace bandages on my arms and nothing on the area along side the breasts), but at least I will only have to make it through two days before I can crash on the weekend.
