RANT!!!!

Its been a crazy week!!! I am physically and mentally exhausted. The storm on Sunday knocked out power and our hotel was the only one in the area with power, so our employees were run to death! The sad part is how people can be so cruel and unappreciative whne they are stressed out. We had a woman refuse to leave the hotel because she had no power- we were sold out- she explained it like we had no idea and she was alone-GET REAL PEOPLE!!! We all were without and still came in to work just to be abused by inconsiderate people!!! I have a friend who works for Duke- only has gotten maybe 5 hours of sleep the rest of the time working and there are people yelling at them about there power when want to eat lunch, "Why would you dare take a break when I have no power!!! Do you know the police had to escort them because of this? WTF!!! THEY ARE PEOPLE TOO!!!!!!

OK MY TURN for RANT DAY.
I work at KMart in Srpingboro. The stor FINALLY got power at about 4:30 am.  Well all the computers have to be rebooted and then all the registers have to be rebooted for the correct day. We finally are ready for business at 8:30 not bad since we normally open at 800. OK so we put a lot of thing you need right as you walk in BATTERES, cain saws, rakes, lanterns ice. some of the phone lines are still down so if you use a credit card and over a certain $$$ amount we have to cal for approval. WELL EXCUSE ME!!!!!!!!!!! People were so RUDE!!!!!!!!!! ""I'm in a hurry can't you go any faster""" OK SO I'M A PAIN I GO SLOWER JUST FOR THEM.  I work at the service desk so I ring the over flow while the cashier is getting the approval.   Then we have a Little Ceasers in there. Well it takes time to make the pizza dough and for it to RISE. so no pizza for a while. They plase 5 signes up all over the area NO PIZZA LIMITED MENUE and people still walk up and ask for pizza and then when we say sorry we don't have it they get MAD!!!!!!!!!!
BUT THE TOPPER...we had a DUKE METER READER IN THE STOREto read the stores meter and she was  YELLED OUT but the other customers.
Working with the public gotta love it. Now the Kicker......I get to work a split shift and go back at 6-close tonight. MORE RANTS ON FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad someone else agrees!!!! Gotta love being in customer service!!! We had another guest say we should shut down our restaurant if we can't take care of the guest in a speedier manner--- THIS HAPPENED ON SUNDAY---WE DON"T SCHEDULE FOR A SLOW BUSINESS DAY!!!! These employees came in when they were called and they had no utilities either!!!!

It amazes me sometimes how self-centered people can be.  I'm just glad the traffic ligths are working again.  People don't seem to know how to handle a 4 way stop if there are left turn lanes involved, and the past couple of days people were being VERY impatient and just forcing their way through when ti was not their turn (and I'm trying to drive defensively and protect my brand new car!!!)

I could NEVER be in Customer Service.  I would lose my temper with some of those people, tell them off,  and get fired, LOL!

I'm glad the lights are working too. I can't tell you how many times someone just flew through without paying attention. As far as customer service... I take meds to stay calm.... nuff said...LOL

So do you mind sharing what actually keeps you calm? lol!
