Goodyear Hts--Alder Trail--9/20/08 (Sat)

Anyone interested in walking Alder Trail this Saturday?  Pam and I will be there at 7:30.  We walked forward and then back last time.  I am taking my dog this time.  If you want to walk with us (all welcome---she's post, I'm pre), post so we know to wait!

Hope to see some of you locals there!

How long of a walk is it? I can do a couple miles before my knees and hips decide they aren't having any more of it.

1.4 miles and only one hill...we go the right way the first time (so hill is up) and then 1.4 miles back (so down)....and since we go around twice, if you are tired or don't want to make the second pass, the turnaround spot is the parking lot

awesome are you guys meeting anywhere in particular?  I will plan on coming.

We meet at the Frazier Ave entrance.  It's just west of the main entrance (the street is, then you go down the street to the actual park entrance).  I would like to do the fall walking spree for the metroparks.  So maybe we can talk about a different trail for the following week when we are there Saturday! 

Well, Pam and I got to meet Kim!  We did our forward lap and then back.  It was still a tad dim when we got to the park at 7:30, so we might be moving the time later, especially with the time change coming.

And the folks were there stamping the Fall Walking Spree forms.  We got to see the walking staff they give out the first year and it's pretty darn nice!  I think I'm gonna go for it!  I'm going to try to do one trail Saturday and one trail Sunday.  If you are interested in doing it with me, send me an email!
