I am now on the schedule for Monday (the 22nd) at 2pm.  I am VERY relieved that he can get me in on Monday, but I am still worried about whether or not  only one week off work is going to be
enough.  I already have a call in to the HR person to clarify whether my start date is the 29th or the 1st. (I had originally been told the 1st, then was told the 29th.)

I hope it's the 1st because that would give me an additional two days to heal up... and, since I am supposed to travel to the Penatgon again on business the 1st and 2nd, I need all the rest I can get before that!

I know, I need to just wait and see... and not worry about it...

What are you having done? I don't think a week is going to be enough time off.  I think you're going to be in major pain when you go back. I would get with your dr to see what needs to be done to get extra time.

Brachioplasty and a mons lift (with major lipo!).  His office said a week off work, but I have my doubts.  I'm especially concerned that I will not be well enough to travel on the 1st and 2nd as planned.  I had this so carefully planned out.... damn hurricane.... {grrr..}

All I can say is I know people that have 3 weeks off for a boob job and yours sounded a lot more complicated than that.

Lora - glad you got on the schedule - I think that one week out you will still be sore.  But everyone is different, so I hope you are feeling good when you have to go back to work!
