Power's Back!
Watched my neighbor's mailbox sail away during one gust and wondering about the overloaded pear tree at the end of the street---pears going 80 miles an hour could be dangerous!
Picked up stray branches from the yard yesterday. We had three large branches come off the maple tree but no real damage. One branch caught the end of the garage gutter but DH pounded the gutter spike back in so we're good. (And that's why the third little pig had a house made of bricks!)
No school again today Guess I'll open the frig and see what goes into the trash---let's see ---yogurt is already spoilt so it should be fine---just kidding!.
Hope everyone made it through the storm fine!

hi!! glad you got your power back on!!! sorry for those still without it...they said alot of the power people went to texas to help them there so it could be awhile for all to get power back on here...
before i moved here from michigan we had a tornado of sorts go through and toppled tons and tons of trees...we lost power and had a blast with the candles and flashlights...had a tv that ran off batteries and was ok with that...atleast it was noise...we partied on the front porch watching cars zoom down the street only to find a tree across the road and they had to screech to a halt...guess they went to fast to see the yellow tape blocking the road ahead???
sorry you lost food...hang in there better days are coming...
hugs
I am thankful that my power was out less than 24 hours, but I sure am getting cranky about still not having any cable/internet/phone at home. Giving serious consideration to bagging the digital phone and just going back to SBC (I have to have some kind of home phone for the alarm system)...
