Help I swallowed some gum

Hey,
I accidentally swallowed a small piece of gum today. I am three days out from my surgery. Right now I feel fine. Does anyone know what will happen? Will it pass through? Right now I do not have any discomfort but I was wondering if anyone experienced this before. The worse would be that I throw up right? I'm wondering if I should call my doctor.
Anyone know?

I really don't see a problem, but you may want to call your doc anyway. As long as you don't feel any discomfort, you should be fine...good luck.
