I'm soooo frustrated with the purree diet.....nothing taste good everything taste like well as I can imagine it would taste like something close to dog food.
I'm haveing a hard time getting all the calories and protein that is required.
Sighs....its hard work LOL
Anyways I was wondering if anyone could help me with some ideas on what to make for myself.

I never had to puree my foods, was just told to chew good...You might try some cream of chicken soup, mixed with just a lil skim milk, and toss in some low fat cheese ?  You can buy fat free refried beans at walmart, perhaps melt some low fat cheese on those...My favorite was creamed oatmeal...I would put some oatmeal in a dish, pour in some skim milk, add a little splenda, dab of peanut butter, dash of cinnamon...You can also add some mashed up bananas...Heat in microwave...How about a container of sugar free kool-whip mixed with a container of low fat cottage cheese/ or fat free, and one packet of sugar free lime jello, or flavor of your choice...Good luck

Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only TRUE FRIENDS will leave footprints in your heart...And may that friendship have such a ONENESS that when one weeps the other will taste salt...Friends are like balloons ; once you let them go you can't get them back....So I'm going to tie you to my heart so I never lose you.

Do not get frustrated! You are doing great and you are changing your whole life. There are great books out there that offer excellent recipes and ideas along with all of your friends here on OH. I have not made it to the pureed but the way I take each day is I dieted for years on aweful diets and could make it through them there is no reason I cannot make it through these stages to win at the game this time.
Try cream of wheat, s/f custard or pudding..wendys chili   pureed through the blender..just  a few I am aware of.

Hang in there...I know it is really hard. At the beginning I put everything in the magic bullet. I dont recommend tuna in it though! LOL Here are some suggestions I used.  Greek yogurt,(with lots of splenda), refried beans with cheese on top (from Wendys), lots of soups, protein shakes, my favorite was the recipe at the hospital I went to. It is a mix of beef broth and V8. Really good, I thought.  Also mix cottage cheese and jello together. Pretty yummy.
Just a few thoughts...

check out eggfaces profile on here she has some good recipes. I ate refried beans and fage 0% greek yogurt mixed together with cheese that was my favorite meal i bought a bunch of baby food meat they were nasty i dont know how babies eat that, i threw chicken and mashed potatoes in a blender to i was able to tolorate that, you have to play around allot i am a month out and on transitional foods and am still not hitting my calorie goals but i am hitting the protien goal so i figure i am half way there the rest will come in time...

I had surgery on 8/5/08 at St.V also mine was with Dr. Sonpal. I understand what you are going through. I have been blending lean cusine meals, I also have been eating a lot yogurt and tuna fish. I can't wait to go into transitional foods and start ttying real foods. Everything I do blend I add cheese or Fage to add calories and protien. I also have been getting a sf ice coffee from McDs and add protien to it for more calories and protien. Good Luck
