Self pay vsg search

I'm looking for a good, reasonably priced surgeon/hospital to get a vertical sleeve gastrectomy within 200 miles of Toledo.
My insurance won't cover it, so I do hope to find a "deal" as long as the doctor has a good reputation. 
Any suggestions?

Dr. Curry in Cincinnati does the VSG. You ought to check him out.

I'm also using Dr. Curry in Cincinnati.  I just got scheduled today for 10/7/08 and I'm self pay.
He has performed the most vsg so check out his bio.  He is also very nice and easy to talk to and has a great staff.

Check with Dr. Brian Lane in Toledo he is the BEST!!!!    He may still have privleges at Wood County Hosp also.   Good luck in your search.

I found a great doctor (from a suggestion on another forum here on OH) that takes self-pay at a reasonable cost in Dr. Mark A Pleatman. He's in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, just outside of Detroit. Had my VSG laparoscopicly on Sept 16, 2008, at a total cost of $11,700 (includes the hospital, anesthesia, surgery, as well as 2 years of follow-up).

He can get you going pretty quickly, too, if you're a self-pay. I first posted about this on Aug 19, and I could have had it done as soon as Sept 9, but I decided to wait an extra week.
