Does anyone live in the Columbus area, that might be able to give me more information about the Columbus Zoo?  Like is it worth the money to go there? Do they have motorized carts to rent?  I tried going to search but really cant find a lot about the zoo...Would sure appreciate the help if anyone knows about this...Thank you ahead...

I prefer the cincinnati zoo because you are closer to the animals, but the Columbus Zoo is worth the $10. I am pretty sure you can rent carts there but I would call to find out. Also, parking is huge, so you may want to be dropped off at the entrance if walking long distances is problematic.

I like Toledo and Columbus better than Cincy since there isn't as many hills. I think it's worth the money. I know this doesn't help but it's just my two cents.

I shall now be know as Hagatha: Queen of the queens.

I just went a couple of weeks ago and didn't notice if they had them but I did however find this on their website.   http://www.columbuszoo.org/guest_information/Amenities.aspx  $20 with ID.

I live just a few minutes from the Columbus Zoo and go there quite a bit.  I think it well worth the money.  They rent motorized carts for $20.00.  They have a new ride area that you can either buy a wristband or pay by the ride.  They have a special on weekdays that you get entrance to the zoo and a ride wristband for $6.00.  The zoo stays open to 7:00 (8:00 Wednesdays) and the rides are open to 9:00 (10:00 Wednesdays).  You can pack a lunch and put your cooler in the picnic shelters between the zoo and the new waterpark.

The Columbuszoo.org website has a lot of information.

Let me know if you need more information.

Thank you so much for the information...What kind of rides are you talking about?  And this water park is part of the zoo also?
