Thank you, I don't see it that way myself..lol.. I just thought it would be faster, there are so many plataues. My advice is don't get discouraged by the scale because it stalls but when it stalls inches are still falling off. I reallly didn't see any difference in myself until I posted about my wow day last week. So don't go by what you see either. Follow your surgeons plan and excersie and you will do an awesome job. As for giving me something, no but I didn't ask either. I spent the time before surgery visiting with my family, and really didn't get too nervous till they wheeled me back, they moved me to the operating table and said we are going to give you something to help you relax, and all I can remember thinking is thank god and I was out..lol...

You sound NORMAL!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now even though you didn't ask YET here are some tips: 1.   Try to cook ahead some FAMILY meals for when you first get home.  My hubby can cook but he's really not that good at it so the kids didn't like what dad fixed.  You won't feel like cooking and you will need you family to take care of you for the first few days home. 2.  The first few days home take your PAIN MEDS BY THE CLOCK. Don't wait for the pain to get to you before you take your meds. I did this for just 3 home and was fine.  I was driving by about 1 1/2 -2 weeks.  3.   Find out what your post op stages foods are and stock up on A FEW ITEMS. Your taste will change after surgery. The first few days/weeks you will be on liquid. Don't worry to much about the protein just keep siping.  You'll do find,  We're ALL here for you,  Robin

He will also be with me 24/7 so I will have plently of help!! Pain meds is also a great Idea!!  I want a speedy and great recovery!!!!  I do have my food stages here, so next week I will go through them and put on grocery list!!

Bratette....I know exactly how you feel about being scared.  My surgery is in just "4" more days (July 1st), and I try not to think about it too much.  I have been through a gallbladder surgery (the old fashioned kind), a triple heart bypass, and just recently a colonoscopy.  I was put to sleep on all of them, and everything turned out okay.  I ask God to be there with me to protect me, and to hold the doctor's hands to guide them during my surgery.  You will be just fine...the anticipation will be worse than the surgery itself when we look back on it after our surgeries.  I know  your concerns about your kids...just be sure to let them know what Mommie is going to have done, and why, in their own language that they will be able to understand. You have waited a long time for this and have been through a lot of waiting...and now your time is coming!  Don't over stress yourself. You will be fine!  Keep thinking good thoughts!!  Susie

Gosh, you are so normal!  If you weren't a little nervous, we'd be checking you for a pulse.  Breathe deeply, live like you are supposed to and enjoy.  This is a good trip!

I am just where you are.  I am scheduled for July 2.  I am more nervouse about coming home to my family and responsibilities than I am the surgery.  I am 53, and have young children, 3 with special needs, the closer it gets, I think I must be crazy., but if I don't have the surgery iI know I wont survive until the childrens adulthood.    My husband and I adopted 4 of our 8 children, and brought them into our family to raise by a loving two parent home, so I understand the anxiety over caring for your family, but I am  not going to be afraid to ask for HELP!!!!  Just know you are doing what you believe to be the best thing for your family.  I'll let you know how the first few days go  at home after surgery and give you the heads up on any hurddles that may rise.  Good Luck! and Bless you.

I too will not be afarid to ask for help!!! My hubby is a teacher  so he will be here for m all the time. We have 5 kids (his and hers) but they will all be gone for a week. They have no idea what  I am doing. They will know I have to go to dr, but that is it. I do not plan on sharing with my kids about my surgery.  My boys are 9,8, & 7 and they could care less, and our girls are 5, so they are too young. I know this is the best thing for me, just the second thoughts!!  I also want to say you are a awesome woman to adopt kids!! I was adopted and I am very thankful. My family is wonderful!!  I love them to death. I was adopted when I was young so I do not remeber anything else!! I do have a half brother that  I love to death, but other them him, my adopted family is my only family!!
