Need name of Plastics Dr. @ Cleveland Clinic
I interviewed several surgeons at the Clinic main campus and was not impressed...including one doctor who insisted insurance would NOT pay therefore he refused to request a pre-authorization (they DID pay) and one doc who's nurse practitioner did NOT know what a belt lipectomy was yet they claimed to do body countouring after massive weightloss!!
However, I found Dr. Robert Stroup who is head of plastics at Hillcrest Hospital (which is a Cleveland Clinic Community Hosp) and he is brilliant!! He did my TT and my LBL and he is going to do my arms, back and BA/BL.
And, in the end, I distilled everything down to one wonderfully simple principle: win or die.

Thank you so much for your reply. I have heard good things about Dr. Stroup, and will look into his services. I was really hoping to have it at the Clinic downtown, because my vascular doc is there. How long did you stay afterwards the TT in the hospital?

If your vascular doc is at the main campus....unless you think he needs to be present for your surgery....all of your records would be available to him thru their EPIC system....any CC doc can view them no matter which campus you visit.
For the TT, I had the option of staying overnight or going home...I went home the same day. For the LBL it was required that I stay overnight. Nice hospital, excellent nurses....I was well cared for!

I have not had plastics yet, but I've heard good things about Dr. Armand Lucas, who operates at the Cleveland Clinic's main campus. A friend of a friend of mine used him for a panni removal combined with a tummy tuck/muscle tightening, and she's super happy with her results. Although I intend to get at least two opinions when I'm ready for plastics, I am hoping to use Dr. Lucas as well, but will reserve making a decision until I have more information.
Dr. Lucas does specialize in reconstructive cosmetic surgery for people who have undergone massive weight loss, so I think he'd be a good choice for a panni removal. But do your research and make the right choice for yourself!
Good luck on your continuing journey -
