hernia repair healing up; have a date for my panni removal
My hernia repair is healing well -- bending, coughing, and sleeping on my one side still hurts a little, sleeping on my tummy is still out of the question, and sneezing is still excruciatingly painful, but since it's only been 3 weeks and the piece of mesh attached to my abdominal muscle is 6 inches square, I'm feeling pretty good overall. I go back to work next week.
When I was in for my follow-up appointment, Susie (in Dr. Rita's office) walked past me TWICE before she recognized me, so that was kind of fun!
I also got the thumbs up from the vascular surgeon and plastic surgeon to go ahead with the panni removal and mons lift, so that surgery is scheduled for Tuesday, July 29th. I can't wait to get the rest of my lap back, but I'm also a little nervous since I don't really know much about the plastic surgeon and will be having the surgery at Sycamore instead of at Kettering (where I have had all of my other surgeries), but I am so thankful that I was able to get all the mess with finding a surgeon and getting insurance approval (and the vascular surgeon's approval) to make this happen before I lose my medical insurance.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
Glad to heat all is going WELL. Could you PM me with the name of your PS I've looked up a lot of them in hopes of one day getting all my extra skin removed. Maybe he's one on my list also.
