STILL stalled, but losing inches
The scale has not budged for six weeks now. VERY frustrating since I am only 8.5 months out, have been diligently watching what I eat and exercising (well, until early last week... I got fed up with enduring the pain from my hernia while riding and STILL not losing any weight, so I put my recumbent bike on a short hiatus...), and am only a couple of pounds from Onederland!
I went to put on a pair of jeans this morning since it was chilly, and they were WAY too big. I thought maybe I put them in the "still wearing" pile instead of the "Goodwill" pile the last time I sorted clothes, so I grabbed the next pair form the drawer. SAME THING! Tried on the last pair... a little too lose (AND too long so I added them to the Goodwill pile, too). I pulled down the stack of the last 4 pairs of jeans I have form the top of the closet, thinking none of those would even come close to fitting (especially when I held up the first (and largest) pair). THEY FIT!!
So, apparently for the last 3 weeks at least (since the last time I wore the jeans from the drawer) I have been just exchanging muscle weight for fat. It doesn't get me to Onederland (and I REALLY want to be firmly there by the time I have my hernia repair on the 27th... which is my 9-month surgiversary), but it makes me feel a lot better about the scale refusing to move.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
I think you've done extremely well. But I can imagine it is frustrating when you don't see the scale going down but of course there's your inches. There is that plateau diet. I don't know exactly what it is, but I believe it's going back to the basics.....a lot of protein drinks. Good luck onyou trip to onederland.
