Thank You OH ~ CCHP Approval Received Today!
I just wanted to say "Thank You" to those of you *****sponded to my posting a few weeks ago relating to denial from Cleveland Clinic Health Plan. I contacted the insurance company through our benefits coordinator in bariatrics and let them know that I was preparing for the 2nd Appeal and would be enlisting the help of Walter Lindstrom (suggestion found on OH.com). After the denial of my 1st appeal, miraculously 1 day after notification that I was seeking help from Mr. Lindstrom, I was asked to furnish height & weight history for 15 mos. I was then asked to go in to bariatrics dept and have another official height & weight taken. All info submitted to insurance company on 4/24/08 and I finally received my APPROVAL today (4/29/08) at 9:13AM!!!! I am writing this letter to let everyone know that no matter how hopeless things seem (especially if trouble with insurance approval) please do not ever give up! I thought I was completely beaten and with help from some very kinds folks who took the time to speak with me and all of the postings - I found help and confidence to fight back. Not to mention WIN. I will soon have a surgery date and plan on remaining around Ohio O/H. Thanks again to everyone for such a wonderful support system! You're the best!
