Does anyone know what the best website is to find out about your doctor, and his/her history ??

Al - I'm a lapband patient in Central Ohio and I can tell you I found a wealth of information on a website called www.lapbandtalk.com  and there is a section on Doctors and Hospitals in that, also under the USA Local Support Groups, then Ohio section, there are lots of postings of those that have been Self-Pay in Cincinnati, gone to Mt. Carmel, Riverside, OSU, Barix, etc.  Good luck!

I also checked out a website where I could buy a report on the surgeons' in the program I was considering to see if they were board certified, where they trained, etc. but it was very general information but it did have some other patients ratings on it and in my case, all the surgeons were rated very well on the question would you recommend this surgeon to a friend or family member.  So the formal ratings on the Ohio medical board are one source but I think word of mouth honest comments like I said are posted on the lapbandtalk web site - where you can post a question to anyone anonymously under a username and I have found people to be very, very open sharing god and bad about every topic you can imagine.
