MOUNT CARMEL BARIATRICS OF COLUMBUS ANYONE??

Hi has anyone went through them I was just wandering I have went through the free seminar and filled out the packet and sent it in. I was just wanting to hear of some people who has been through them for there surgery on what they had to do, how long it took, and there experience all together was a good one? a bad one? Any info is so helpfull thanks.  

My daughter is going through Mt. Carmel.  She had her meeting with Dr. Choban yesterday.  She went on and on how nice she was.   She's getting ready to go into her insurance phase. Mt. Carmel didn't have a bariatrics program when I started my process but I had my hysterectomy there about 15 years ago.  I loved the hospital then and from what I hear it's only gotten better.  Oh, I guess it took about a week and a half for her to be accepted into their program get her next packet.  Good Luck!!

Mt. Carmel Bariatric program has a FREE monthly support group meeting that has both RNY and Lapband patients, pre and post surgery in that group meeting which is in an auditorium. I believe the next meeting is this coming Monday, May 5th at 6:30pm but you could call 614-234-LIFE and confirm the date and time of each month's meeting. Second, there are a big group of Mt. Carmel Lapbanders specifically that share/post on www.lapbandtalk.com and we along with other patients from Central Ohio for are lapband specific patients, either already banded or preparing for surgery, trying to get approval, have formed an informal support group that meets once a month at Polaris Mall.  So, if you want more details, check out the website for lapbandtalk and when you get there its organized in different sections, look for USA Local Support Groups, then pick Ohio within that, and you'll see the different threads of discussion including one that has Mt. Carmel in the thread title and one that has Central Ohio Get Together which is May 10 at Polaris 2-4 in the food court.
