Loose skin issues

I have yet to have my surgery, but am already concerned about the excess loose skin.  I am almost 60 yrs old, and have a saggy belly now...what will it look like after a significant weight loss, and is there any exercises to firm up the saggy areas?  This isn't a major concern for me, getting healthier is, but I was just wondering how everyone "hides" their saggy arms, belly, bosoms, inner thighs, etc.  I want to look good in a pair of jeans and tucked in blouse for the first time in my life, but will the skin leave "bulges" under my clothes. I saw a TV program where people had lost a lot of weight, and they had to have tummy tucks and breast, butt, and thigh lifts to look better.  Because of blood clotting issues, I am not going to have this done. Kind of a weird question...but still important to me!

The rule to skin coming back to shape i heard somewhere is ... under a hundred pounds lost doesn't usually require tucks and nips, but over a hundred, usually does.  I've lost 130, and had a lower body lift - not that I needed one, but that I wanted one.  I looks good in clothes, but not so good naked.  My arms are a tad loose but nothing like some that I have seen.  I carried my weight in my lower half, therefore, my legs especially my inner legs are real saggy.  BUT not too bad.  I have pictures in my profile.  I also had a breast lift and a small augmentation ...  On the other hand, my friends has lost the same amount of weight, and she will not be having any plastics done.  She looks good!  Does she have saggy stuff.... yeah!  but she is off all medication and feels great!   :-))

I feel the same way your friend does...as long as the weight loss gets me off of my many costly medications, I will be very happy.  I have about 100 lbs I'd like to lose...anymore than that, would just not look like me.  Being around 170  and at 5'8" tall will satisfy me tremendously!   I am hoping that I will be able to tone up some of the loose skin, but because on my age, I'm worried that I won't.  But it won't be a big deal, as long as I can look good on the outside (fully clothed). Thank you for your reply, Judy.  How ironic that you should be such a kind person, and have the username of "Judge Judy".  Personally I can not stand that woman on TV.  I realize she acts the way she does for high ratings, but I think she is insulting, bullish, insensitive, and down right rude for a judge!  My DH loves to watch her, and I will leave the room when he does.  She has the biggest mouth and can't get her point across unless she hollers!  Didn't mean to get on this topic. That sounds like a wonderful goal.. 5'8 is tall!  Gee, if i was 2 inches taller, I wouldn't have to worry about my last 4 lbs.... LOL Judge Judy is crude and ruthless.  But I spell mine with an I ... so i am different!  :-) Where in the north west are you?  My youngest son goes to Bowling Green..

Judi...I am about 10 miles due east of the Ind/Ohio state line, and about 20 miles north of Van Wert, Ohio.  I had checked out the hospital in Bowling Green for my lap band surgery, but they didn't accept Medicare for payment, so I researched further.  Ended  up at Cleveland Clinic where they are covered by Medicare and so is the top-notch bariatric surgeon, Dr. Philip Schauer.  It's farther than I wanted to drive, with all of the other visits I need to make, but it's the closest for me that I could find.  I feel like I will be in excellent hands with this surgeon and hospital, so I will have to bear with the distance.  Got my packet yesterday from them with all of the info and forms to fill out.  It took me almost 2 hours to fill out, and I took the forms to the post office the same day to return to them.  So I"ve got the ball (finally) rolling for me.  I'm so excited, and a little scared, too, which I realize is normal for a person about to go for surgery.  But next to my triple heart bypass a few years ago, this should be a piece of cake!  (sorry for the forbidded analogy)

There are all kinds of body shapers that you can use to smooth out those bumps, sags, bulges and ripples.  I've bot loose skin, but it's not so bad that I want to justify the cost of PS.  The body shapers flatten and tighten my slightly saggy tummy, smooth my hips and lift my fanny.  What more can a girl ask for at the bargain price of $20?

I am 41 and I don’t know if I will want it or not. I will try to concoct some sort of anti-ageing, collagen building, skin tightening balm.... and just go to town all over my body. If it works great.... if not, I won’t be any worse off.

But I have come to terms that I will never wear a bikini… and I am ok with it.
