Protien Powders
Thanks for the great advise everyone. I have another question regarding protein supplements. A freind said they used a liquid protein called New Whey. He said you can get these in less that 3 ounce bottles and they have a total of 42 grams. This sounded pretty good to me. I have not had a chance to sample it yet. He was supposed to bring some to Church to let me sample but our Church Service got cancelled because of Snow. Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks in Advance & God Bless
I use the walmart Body Fortress protein powder a huge can for 13.00... It comes in vanilla and chocolate. I use more of the vanilla becasue you can add so much to it. I add some sugar free pudding (just a spoon full of the pudding powder) to give it a different flavor.. Or I throw some banana, and peanut butter in it to give it a banan split flavor, some carrots and cinnamon for a carrot cake flavor...etc....Email me after surgery when you want to try some other recipes and I will send them to you....You can't beat the walmart price... The protein new whey you were asking about you can get from the vitamin shoppe, they are kind of expensive and are thick and don't taste real good but you get that blast of protein.. You have to make sure you only drink half at a time because I hear your body only absorbs about 25 grams of protein at a time... Good luck to you...if you haven't already you should invest in a magic bullet blender... I have used mine since a month brfore surgery and I am 18 months out and still use it to mix my shakes at least once a day...
