Protien Powders
I personally like the Unjury, but it is available only online (www.unjury.com).
I would suggest going out ot the vitalady website (/www.vitalady.com) and ordering some samples so you can try different ones or find other places that have samples available (sorry, but I forget the other site that I got samples from early on... like i said, I usually get Unjury). There's nothing more frustrating than trying a powder that someone esle really liked only to find that you can barely choke it down (and now have a whole canister of it!).
Congratulations on getting approved and scheduled!

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
I agree on the Unjury protein powder. I used the large orange can from Walmart - at first I could drink it, but once I moved to other foods, I could no longer gag it down. I can still drink the Unjury. Try the samples. They are reasonably priced. Don't buy a lot before surgery - taste do really change.
Congrats On your surgery. I like whey from gnc I get the plain favor and put it in my slimfast or other drinks to get more protein. I also took baby wipes to the hospital your going to need them to. First bm was a night mare for me. But im going on 3 years out and doing great
Best wishes

Another one I found that I liked was CHIKE-on line only. The Banana and strawberry were the best, the chocolate and vanilla good also, but as far as the banana and strawberry, no comparison to others! 27 g of protein! A bit pricey but worth in if you like it. Request the samples. www.chikenutrition.com
Best of luck!

congratulations on approval and scheduling!!!
i agree about samples --nothing worse than a can of protein powder at a good price if ya can't stand it!!! and many ppl's tastes do change after surgery!!! also what you like and can tolerate early out may be much different than later on (meaning you may expand your tastes again)
experiment- do things with the blender and ice and with or without milk -once you can have substance-add fruit to the blender...
i used unflavored protein to add a boost to my sf puddings , soups etc -
many of us use protein to make hot cocoa... i bought early on from bariatriceating.com as well as from vitalady.com...i buy GNC and i buy one at walmart-right now cannot think of the name to save my soul-sorry! i think it's Any Whey....i bought a ProForMix last 26 grams protein 0 sugar..i drink mostly choclate and just mix with water as i became lactose intolerant after surgery...not so much now but also watching calories in and water is cheaper than milk!
but do get samples......they usually run about $1 or $1.50 each....
