OSU supervised diet?

Good Morning,  I'm just tryig to get an idea of how much the 12 week pre-op diet at OSU costs (out of pocket).  I haven't gotten insurance approval for WLS yet, but if I do, I'm sure I'll have to go through the 12-week program.  I just want to know how badly it's going to impact my checkbook!   Thanks!

Good afternoon, I had my surgery at OSU in July of 2005. I did not go through their there program, I did a 6 month program through dr ofc. I think at the time it was about $225 - $250.00. You should call and check.

I was supposed to go through OSU for their supervised program.  Actually at the time they had 2 of them and they both ran around $250.  They had the LEARN program and another one which I believe lasted for longer than 12 weeks.  Since I was living in Bucyrus at the time I was able to do the LEARN program through Bucyrus Community Hospital for $150.  That was back in October of 2006. Thanks for your replies!  I actually spoke to Tanya, the coordinator at OSU today, and she said the LEARN program should meet the insurance needs.  It is $250.  It's not cheap, but I was thinking the class could be more like 5 or $600, so I was pleasantly suprised by the $250!   Plus, I just remembered that my work will reimburse us up to $150 for anything we pay that is "wellness" -related.  Whoo-hoo!   Thanks again!
