wondering about a patient

I was instant messaging with someone from another board this weekend, she told me about a lady who came to the hospital with stomach pains and ended up in surgery.  While in there ( she didn't know what they found) they nicked her colon.  She evidently is not in good shape.  How can this happen? She is in Bethesda North hospital and she thought one of my surgeons patients.  Did anyone else here this?

I am not sure where this information came from but I can tell you there is absolutely no patient of Dr. Sonnanstine on the surgical unit at BNorth hosp.  Often times patients come in from other areas who had surgery by surgeons from other areas(some of which no longer perform RNY)...I am sure if this was one of his patients they would be there with him now...I know that's what I would do!
