Okay then .... I'm thinking Macedonia's Winking Lizard (it's on E Aurora - 82 and has soup, salads, and etc) at 1pm on Sun, the 24th of this month.

Their website is winkinglizard.com, the menu, driving directions, etc are there.

It looks like a nice quirky place and is 40 miles from me, Canton, AND, get this, Elyria. I love Mapquest!

Let me know via PM what you are able to do with this. If date and time are a problem, let me know. Majority rules. (of course, I'd like to go! haha). Janice

for me it ould be 101 miles- and almost 2 hours driving one way so i am passing- but i had looked at also going to a cemetery in akron (genealogy search for an ancestor!) and it would only add an hour! wishful dreaming!

Margo, I don't quite know where Lindsey is. 101 miles is a loooong way for lunch with people you haven't met in person. Perhaps there will be a closer one later. I would love to hear more about ancestry work ... I love it but don't get how to do it. Janice

actually i have flown to california and to texas to meet folks from online here on the over fifty forum! janice- there are lots of ways to learn about genealogy- i would be happy to help you - as well as thru your local public library i would think!

Thanks Margo! I might take you up on that when I done with a writing project I have. I've been to Chicago and Georgia (as well as NY, PA, and OH locations) to meet people. Goodness when I lived in Las Vegas, for some reason everyone wanted to come to me. Haha. :-) Janice

I tried to send an email and it bounced back - I copied and pasted, so I don't know what happened.

Here is what I sent! Janice I looked at your PM and had to laugh and wondered how you came up with that name. Anyway I put you into my address book at work so I can find you when I am looking for it. Hope things are going well in you countdown to your surgery. I know when I was a few weeks before - I really got antsy! I couldn't think of anything else - everything reminded me that I was going to be different. You know the "last" time for everything! I got a bit sad when I realized that it would be the last Christmas to wear all of the pretty sweaters and outfits that I had for the holidays. I didn't buy anything new, but it still made me few strange. I am now looking at my closet and am beginning to get my 3x and 24w out slowly. Some are really big on me now, whereas a few still fit. The sizes are really not consistent! So over the next few weeks I should have some room, because I don't throw things out to fast and there are lots of things that really need to go now!
