HI Mary, I don't really log in to the Yahoo anymore (hubbie works for Google so I use that instead) but I am on MYSPACE if you want to send messages to me on there. I check it every day for new messsages. I sure miss eveyone i Ohio. I don't have the same level of support out here. I tried to get into a support group, but all of the good ones are too far away when you figure in travel time with the traffic.

Jaimee --I've chosen Dr. Phil Price for my pending lap band surgery. Would like to know how things went for you. His credentials in bariatrics and as a laproscopic surgeon are great.

Hello, I felt the quality of the surgical procedure he did ws superb. I have actually had 2 different surgeries with Dr. Price. He also removed my gallbladder. Both surgeries had few complications. The only thing I didn't like (and this may have changed by now) was how slowly things moved along and how hard it was to get in to see Dr. Price. Also, I didn't feel they spent enough time education me on post-op lifestyle and diet. Hopefully this had changed. BAck then I only had a 2 hour session on. I know OSU had a much more extensive program.  He is an excellent surgeon and I would recommend him based on this alone to anyone wanting to have Gasrtic Bypass or Lap Band. Take care and best wishes to you on your surgery. --Jaimee

Dear Jaimee,

Believe it or not you have been on my mind a lot lately wondering how you were and hoping that you are happy where you are. you are most certainly missed. I still think of the excitement we shared together as I rode my first roller coaster without worrying whether or not I would fit or not. I havent lost all of my weight and hover around 165.  My pouch is still very good about reminding me that 5 bites means FULL. I had to cut down on exercize when I tore my ACL and meniscus about 6 months ago. I am finally able to do Pilates and just beginning a walking program again. So far I feel myself firming up again. As soon as I move to Columbus the apt we are getting has a fitness room and an indoor and outdoor pool. I am so excited and cannot wait to

to get back into my water aerobics. I am so happy to see your post and it made my day. Didnt you just have a birthday recently.. Well anyhow You look incredible and seem to be holding your own. I Love you and hope you can keep in touch.

Hugs and kisses

Laura

I just had to jump in here and say hello to all of you.  I am back online for the first time since my pre-surgery eve 9/1/2004.  Some of your names, like Margo, I remember but the photo has changed.  I believe my pre-surgery photo will appear here still so I need to get a new one. woo hoo!My surgery with Dr. Curry went great and I am 200 lbs lighter.  It is wonderful to be back here!  Look forward to chatting and hearing from everyone.  Maybe someone will remember me too.  hee hee  My old screen name was pjever I think. lol PJ
