Ohio Lap-Banders

My name is Shari and you can find out more about me than you probably ever wanted reading my (albeit outdated) profile.  I spend most of my time hanging out on the Lap-Band board. Great place, but I'd love to "meet" a few local banders. I'm from the Akron area, are there any other Lap-Banders in the area?

I'll be banded in march hopefully (insurance is reviewing my chart right now).  I'm from Mansfield but my husband is from Akron, as a matter of fact we will be up there tomorrow and monday for a family event.  We'll have to get together sometime I'm up there.

Hello ladies,  My name is Amanda.  I am also (going to be) a bander.  I am not planning on getting banded until probably July this year.  Currently I am on my 6 month supervised diet.  I live in Eastlake but am planning on moving to the middleburg heights area soon (I am formally from Brooklyn... Long story... I have a gyspies soul lol).  I have a little boy who is 1 today! YAY   Hopefully we can all be there for each other!  Shari, I also spend a lot of time on the lapband board.  I try to update my posts on my page about once every week, so keep checking in and good luck to both of  you in your adventures! ♥Amanda

Hi Shari,  I am new to this board and am scheduled for the Lap-band surgery March 4th with Dr Dan at City Hospital.  I'm from the Akron area and would love to talk to some folks who have been thru this.  I'm really nervous.  I am supposed to start 4 weeks of Optifast on February 4th to prepare for the surgery.   From your profile and pics, it looks like you are doing great!  I can only hope to do so well!  Congratulations and good luck on your future success! 

Hello Ladies, Sounds like we are all in the same general vicinity. Would any of you like to get together? I was thinking maybe we could meet at a centrally located mall and walk and chat. Let me know what you think. I am really needing the support of some fellow banders.
