Insurance approved, date tenatively set and worries

Ok well,

The good news Aetna approved the surgery.

And I go in for pre-op testing on thursday, with a scheduled surgery date of 2/12/08.

What is causing me to freak out slightly is this.  Last month, I had a sleep study done.

stopping breathing 75/hour = severe sleep apnea.

Myself I was at 120/hour.  But a CPAP fixed it.  So the Dr. perscriped a CPAP.

I got perscriped on around the 28th.  It got turned over to Apria to supply the CPAP.

They've lost the order and are telling me they are waiting on the sleep clinic to send a copy of the sleep study.  Its just frustrating that right now i'm scheduled for surgery in 4 weeks. But I need to be on the CPAP for 2 weeks before hand.

And who knows how long this will take. I just hope it doesn't push the surgery further back.

Congrats on your approval and date. Just keep on the sleep clinic to send the proper paper work.  I had some stuff get lost right at the time of my approval from my nut. Just keep on them and be relentless about it. Good luck!

Two things: keep on them with the paperwork and whatnot.  But also, make sure the surgeon knows the results of the sleep study so they can adjust what needs to be done for you in the surgery suite and in the hospital room.  Best of luck.  How amazing that it's scheduled so fast!
