to everyone on OH,       I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all for your prayers and well wishes the past few years since jeremy's surgery in november 2004.  he has certainly been through a lot and was defintiely a fighter.  he was an inspiration to thousands and had hundreds and hundreds of personal friends online and offline.        obesityhelp members got me through some rough times when he was in the hospital for 5 months after his gastric bypass, and many of them stuck around even after our hiatus (sp?) from the site for the past year.        jeremy pursued his dream of becoming a minister, and started making videos for youtube, along with becoming co-pastor of diversity life ministries online.  he also was taking classes with cornerstone christian university online, and was ordained reverend minister on september 6th of this year.  he did not abandon you, he felt his life was taking a turn towards religion and hatred, and where better to find hatred than youtube?..  he spread love and God's word.. and succeeded so well.        please never forget him, because his life stood for so much more than weight loss.. as do all of yours.  he loved every one of you, his friends.  thank you all on both my behalf and his for everything.  please never ever forget him. `roberta e. norman  www.usedtobe803.com

Roberta - I don't think there is any way to forget him. He was a wonderful inspiration and a wonderful man. We are all better people for knowing him, even if only via the internet. Hope you are doing well. ~ Terisa

I have been away from this board for awhile myself.  I am so sorry to hear of Jeremy's passing.  I remember lighting a candle and saying prayers for him during the day of his surgery.  I remember Roberta coming to one of the OSU Gastric Bypass Support group meetings while Jeremy was stil in the hospital to thank all of us. I am in tears... Jeremy was an inspiration to me.  My prayers and thoughts go out to his family and to all who knew him and knew of him. Thank you Jeremy for being an inspiriation to us.   Sincerely, Julie H
