Anyone had WLS at Barix Clinic Groveport OH?

I had my surgery at Barix in Groveport on December 4, 2007.  Dr Ramos was my surgeon and I would highly recommend both the facility and Dr Ramos.  The nursing staff was absolutely incredible.  It was by far the cleanest facility I've ever been in!!!  Everything and Anything I needed, they were there to help me out!!! I have absolutely NO REGRETS about going to Barix over a "big hospital".  In fact, I dont think I would go to a "big hospital" for this surgery (just my opinion).... this is what Barix specializes in, its what the surgeons and the nurses know day in and day out - its what they do.  You arent in a room next to someone with a completely different situation as yours... (well we're all different, but you know what I mean) .... anyways - I wish you luck on your journey!!!

I had the lapband surgery on 10-31-07 at Barix. Dr. Ramos was my surgeon. My opinion of the hospital and staff is excellent. Everyone treated me with so much respect and made me feel at home during the night I spent there after surgery. I choose Barix as several people I work with have had their surgeries there and had nothing but wonderful things to say about the hospital and staff. I highly recommend Barix!! Angela

Thanks for your responses. I have insurance approval and am in process of getting various medical clearances. If I pass them all (ha) I guess I will be having surgery within next 2-4 months. I was a little upset about the cardiac appt. I have to go back and have a stress test. I just hope that there is not something wrong? geez. If I have a heart problem I probably will not get to have WLS.

I had my Lap Band surgery there with Dr Ramos and Have been really happy with everything. They are all so nice and really care about their patients. I only had trouble with one grouchy nurse the night of my surgery but I kinda told her how I felt. Don't mess with me when I'm in pain and drugged up on morphine! lol Otherwise it was great!

HAHAHA! that's too funny! I may be the same way with a grouchy nurse! but I don't need the morphine and WLS for that!!!

I needed a good chuckle after this week of solid ing through medical clearance hoops! I had 3 to get and 2 are done deals (sleep & pulmonary) and I will know the results of the 3rd one (cardiac) early next week. WHEW ... I am worn out. I just hope that last one is good to go and then I can get my WLS scheduled. Insurance was approved in January. I am having RNY - Lap with Dr. Timothy Custer, Barix Groveport.
