Hi Jennifer ~ welcome to the Ohio boards. My name is Dan and I had Gastric Bypass in Cleveland at St. Vincent in 2005 and am currectly 2+ years post-op.  Feel free to check out my experience on my profile. Like you said, the support on these boards are great and everyone is here for you. Keep us posted on your progress and your surgery date will be here before you know it.

Hi Jennifer, I'm pretty new here myself, I have a date for RNY scheduled for 1/16.  I'm curious how come your not coming to Toledo?  I'm seeing Dr. White and I just love him.  I live in Toledo and it seems so much closer for you?   Anyway, I'd love for us to keep in touch! Kim

Kim~  Thanks for your introduction. I am going to Cleveland because I have medicaid and medicare and guess you have to go somewhere that is considered a center of excellence. So I called around and they suggested Cleveland. I would love to have gone to Toledo, because it is only 45 minutes from me. But I guess I will deal with Cleveland. I am happy with them. Hi again, I added you too!  It's good to meet you as well.  I am also medicaid (paramount advantage) and was approved in less than a day!  I wish you the best of luck with your surgery and we'll have to share many, many stories!

Hi , It's Tammy from the hospital.I had surgery the same day.{lapband} We sat in x-ray together for hours.I see your doing great. I am too. Looks like we both lost the same amount of weight. I am doing great. Get my first fill on Jan. 8. I don't have a page like yours but I will mark you as a friend.  Good Luck
